Pickleball's sweeping popularity isn't exactly news (did you know it's the fastest-growing sport in the U.S.?), but its swift success has done more than offer the athletically inclined something to do on a hot summer day; it has also introduced an opportunity for fashion and art to mix with traditionally unattractive equipment. One such brand that has capitalized on making sports goods chic? Recess Pickleball, which just released a gorgeous collaboration with photographer Gray Malin.

If you're a proud owner of any (or all) of Malin's coffee table books, you already know that his photographs are an escapist's aesthetic dream, so just imagine how beautiful these paddles are. For this launch, Malin chose two of his most-loved photos, Bondi Beach and Surfing Waikiki. As the titles imply, both images feature the ocean and are supremely summer-friendly. Some people might even argue that these beaches are tied for the most beautiful in the world.

Whether you choose the Australian haven or the Hawaiian retreat, you'll get a paddle (and a limited-edition embroidered canvas case with leather detailing) that will last pretty much forever. These are no ordinary paddles; they're made of highly durable honeycomb polypropylene that's covered in fiberglass, so even if you whack the ball as hard as you possibly can (extra points for spikes), it won't break, crack, or shatter. As for the grip, it's made of the same condensed foam used for tennis racquets and golf clubs, and it's covered in a faux-leather fabric that's sweatproof and designed to last.
